We try to appeal to many people by having events that they can attend.
This week we spent multiple hours playing volleyball and other sports, because
it brings a large turnout of unbaptized Karenni. We also spent some time in
Magna, because many are moving out there for some reason.
All in all, the work progresses. The Lord is leading and guiding us to
find his children who are ready to hear the restored gospel. It is a marvelous
thing to be a part of. A great experience from the week: We were teaching
a Kachin man (another Burmese tribe), and he expressed the concern that he was
already baptized. We taught about the priesthood authority, and he said that he
wanted to get baptized again. It was an incredible experience to see his desire
to follow Jesus Christ. Another experience was before church on Sunday, we
asked the Lord to send someone to church who is ready to be baptized soon. A
boy named Tu Reh showed up, unexpectedly, and we are going to help him get the
priesthood like his friend who got baptized last week did. The Lord works
miracles. It is amazing!
A new transfer begins this week, Elder Mulcahy and I remain together.
It will be great to serve the Lord more so, and witness miracles. Sister Shurke continues to be in my prayers! Dad shared that the whole
stake was asked to pray for her by President Call. I enjoy being happy, as
does everyone, and am glad I can maybe brighten the world a little. This gospel
can, is and will change the world. Jesus IS the Christ, the Very Son of God,
the Savior and Redeemer of the World! I love Him so much.
I love being a missionary so much!
I love you all!
Elder Adams
