Last night we were in North Salt Lake, trying some apartment
complexes in the Rose Park area. We ran into some other sister missionaries,
and asked if they knew anyone from Burma. The pointed us down the road, and off
we went. After making some great contacts, we went back to our car, which was
parked at their apartment complex. We saw these two people go by on bikes, then
the sisters came running, and told us their bikes were just stolen. So we got
in the car fast and chased them down. We lost them for a while, but then Elder
Mulcahy felt that we should check behind a sketchy motel. We pulled in, and
sure enough found the bikes. They had already been sold, so we approached the
people, and told them they had stolen bikes, and we negotiated a deal to obtain
the bikes. We then walked the bikes almost a mile back to where the sisters
were waiting, they were overjoyed. Then we walked back to the car, and called
it a day. It was great that the Lord could guide us to serve His children, even
in the most unexpected and bizarre ways. That is probably the highlight of this
last week.
I also had some great opportunities to teach people about
how much God loves them, and how He provided a way that they can be with their
families forever. This specific couple was so happy because that is what they
want!
I love my Savior Jesus Christ so much! I am grateful to
serve the Lord; I look forward to it every morning!
I love you all!
