January 28, 2019 - Midvale, UT

I'm excited for spring, the snow makes missionary work harder!
That's fun you went see Lauren and Lindsay give their mission talks. That's exciting for them! They WILL learn so much, people have been asking us what we have learned in 18 months, and when I think about it, it's mind blowing to see where I am at. I love changing, I hope I can keep changing more!
That's amazing about my bridge! What a good analogy! It is actually super good! I'm gonna be like my bridge! (Steadfast and immovable. Mosiah 5:15)
This last week we had full day meetings for both Tuesday and Wednesday, and then lessons all those nights, so we didn't get to do much else. They were great lessons, and we invited many people to change their lives to follow the Savior and be baptized, and many accepted. Thursday we went absolutely crazy, since we had cabin fever! We contacted so many people, tried to set up lessons, and saw some really cool miracles. Friday we kept going, and then Saturday we did exchanges. I was with Elder Nicholson, who is from New Zealand. We saw some massive miracles together as we worked diligently. We found 2 more people who desire baptism, and talked with one gentleman we are teaching who is working to quit smoking. We invited him to read the Book of Mormon instead of smoking when he had the urge, and he let us know he already did that, he just replaced it with something else. He is older, so we gave him a large print copy to read, and we saw him the next day at church, carrying it around like it was the most precious thing he owned. I testify that the Book of Mormon is precious, and powerful. I know that its power comes becomes it is a true book that testifies of Christ, and that it is because of Christ that we can do anything and everything. HE is the power, and He will help us overcome all things in our life if we just come unto Him. I love Him because He has healed me, continues to do so, and heals all those around me!
I am grateful to be serving, I know it is changing my life!
I love you all So much!

January 21, 2019 - Midvale, UT

It is snowy here. And MLK day doesn't affect us at all, just business like usual.
This last week has been miraculous. 3 days in a row we received referrals from members, and went to visit these referrals. One of these gentlemen, who is 70 years old, wants to get baptized ASAP, and is already on date for mid-February.
Also, right after the temple last week we had a lesson in which we taught 2 girls who are also now planning for baptism in February.
We also had one day where we contacted all of the people we hadn't been able to catch for weeks. It was amazing.
We had Stake conference in the Holladay South Stake. The whole first hour of the adult session Saturday night was about missionary work, we got to speak briefly, and the stake members are on fire trying to find us people to teach. Simply put, they are going to invite everyone to meet with us, and pray that some say yes.
Also on Saturday, Oakley was baptized! I have been teaching him since my first week here in this area, we even went to general conference together. Some miracles happened to allow him to be baptized almost 2 months earlier than expected. It was a very great experience for him, he is very converted to the gospel. He has even been paying tithing, using a jar he saves loose change in called "God's Money". What a great guy he is.
Excited for the Johnson girls and August to be going on missions! Very exciting times for them.
Fun to hear you are getting snow. We have gotten at least a foot today. Pretty awesome!
Glad Sunday School attendance is strong and church is going well. Truly an inspired change. I am excited to continue following the prophet, who speaks to the Lord.
I love you so much Mom and Dad!

January 7, 2019
Its been a great week. We have been running around like chickens with our heads chopped off. But it has been good. We have seen some amazing miracles. Yesterday a bishop called us and said, "Elders, would you like a baptism?'. It turns out a parent finally gave permission after 3 years! Lots of good things happening! Elder Rhodes says thanks!
I love the quote! And I love YOU Mom! Thanks for helping so much with not only college stuff, but also being such a great support as I have been out here serving the Lord!
I love you!!!!!!

Pretty amazing week we have had. People have been coming out of the woodwork desiring to come closer to Jesus Christ at the start of the year. We had a baptism on January 1st. She has been meeting with missionaries for 10 years, and we have been teaching her for 2 months. It was a miracle to see her get married, baptized, and confirmed all in one day!

We have had some other amazing opportunities as well, with even more people who we meet every day. I love teaching the gospel, and seeing it bless other people’s life's!
I love you all so much!

I might have some more pictures later, but in this picture we just get out of the Draper temple.
