March 27, 2018 - South SLC

Wow this week has been crazy! The work is moving along, and I am loving it so much! I feel my faith and conversion grow every day, and I love seeing others change and accept the gospel in their lives! This week we were blessed with many miracles!

TR got baptized! He is a great young man, very quiet and shy though. But he wants to follow Jesus Christ, so that is awesome! Then, we had a new family come over from Thailand. We have met them, and they are funny and wonderful! We are excited to help them grow.

We ate some crazy food; I didn't know that pig’s bones were such a delicacy. But with rice, anything works. Then today we went and watched an organ recital at the Tabernacle on Temple Square with our zone. Then some of us got to play the organ. I played “Nearer My God To Thee,” 1st verse was just with the organ keys, then 2nd verse I added pedals. I did terrible, but it was really awesome! Then, we toured behind the pipes.

The work just keeps picking up, it will be awesome! I love it here so much, I love inviting others to repent and follow Jesus Christ!

A fun scripture to leave you all with: Zechariah 5:1 “Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.” J

A more serious scripture for the weekend is Matthew 28:5-6. “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

I love you all, and Happy Easter! Christ lives! Vey-si-nyi-na Yee-Shew-Kree Ah-o-let!

March 19, 2018 - South SLC

So this week was pretty awesome. We saw lots of miracles.

Last p-day we went for a hike. I ran up the mountain. It was super awesome! And a beautiful view.

This week I really focused on being completely diligence, and striving for perfection. With the Lord's help, a great interview with President Hillier, and a great companion, we are seeing incredible things happening here in Burma. The Karenni are opening their hearts to the gospel, and it is amazing to see! I have progressed in my language, and taught about the Restoration twice this week in Karenni. Elder Mulcahy is an incredible missionary, he continues to have a great desire and love for these people, and it is awesome to work with him. We have found so many new faces, and old faces, all now ready to hear the gospel and progress towards following Jesus Christ through baptism.

Hope all are doing well!
Love,
Elder Adams

March 12, 2018 - South SLC

Dear Mom,
What an awesome email from you! I love it so much! I love hearing from you! Kinda short on time! But Elder Mulcahy is awesome! He has that greeny fire, and it is awesome!
I love you so much! Thanks for those talks, I will be sure to read them!
Love you! That is so cool for Heidi, and man, Cody is Buff!
Talk to you more next week!

p.s. might not have time for a blog update, sorry, busy busy like a bee!

Hey Dad!  Love you too!
My District is district A or B not sure which, haha, and we are in the sugarhouse zone. I have just sisters in my district, which so far has been pretty nice.
Elder Mulcahy is awesome! We are having a blast working hard! The branch is growing, lots to teach. I can teach, testify and pray in Karenni, it is awesome!
We are teaching loads, the craziest moment from the last week was when we knocked on this door, the gentleman who answered was utilizing an illegal substance and told us, in his very high way, "I've got it all, I'm good guys." It was funny, especially to break up the monotony of lots of doors knocked and no answers.
But we are teaching a ton of people, and it has been amazing! The Lord truly desires that these people hear the gospel! It is incredible!

Love you so much!

March 5, 2018 - South SLC

This week flew by! It feels like it is Wednesday. Crazy. Elder Bowman and I buckled down and got to work to finish this last week of the transfer awesome! We had tons of great experiences, taught lots, and loved even more.

This week we were blessed to find even more people who want to learn about Jesus Christ and follow Him. We are now teaching almost 20 people, and all have a desire to learn and many want to be baptized. The power of the knowledge that God loves us and wants to bless us with the Gift of His spirit has pierced so many humble hearts, and pricked them with this desire to follow Him. As I have taught many people the truths of the restored gospel, my own testimony has been strengthened. I am certain that this all is true. Everything I teach is doctrine, the very word of Jesus Christ. No other thing in life can bring us lasting joy, and no other thing even makes sense as to our existence and purpose. On top of these, I have received a sure witness from the Holy Ghost that these things are all true. We are all engaged in a greater work than we can imagine, and I pray we may strive to follow our Savior as He leads onto the paths of happiness.

It snowed this week. Well, just Sunday. Like a foot. Half the sacrament meetings got cancelled, plus another 7 hours of meetings we had. So we went to an English ward (our sacrament meeting was cancelled) with 4 other missionaries, and we did an impromptu musical number (per the Bishops request) and sang “Nearer my God to Thee.” Only 30 people were in attendance. It was fun.

Elder Bowman is getting transferred to a new area on Tuesday. He has been here 7.5 months. (Elder Adams is staying in the South Salt Lake area and will be training a new elder and will also be a district leader.) We spent most of the evening teaching recent converts, investigators, and saying some goodbyes. It was good. Elder Bowman will do great in another place. It has been a great opportunity to serve with him, what a great companion!

I love you all, have an incredible week!
